The financial awards below have different eligibility criteria, please read the award details carefully and ensure you meet the conditions before application. Only prospective or current Lancaster University students are eligible to apply for awards below.

Other ConditionsApplicants must be aged 21 and over on the first day of the first term for which they are seeking assistance. The award is based on academic merit and financial hardship. Departments rank students on academic merit before trustees consider academic and financial positions. Only the top 3 students from each department are usually considered.

General InformationThe Peel Studentship Trust was established in 1964, by donations from the Dowager Countess Eleanor Peel Trust. The awards are available for the support of students for first or higher degrees, in any subject. The period of the award is one academic year, although students can apply each year. The value of the award is determined by the Trustees in each case.

Applications are not acceptable by email. Hardcopy application forms should be received by Student Funding Service by the 9th May 2014 Please note that results are notified to students mid-late July.
